Serious Muscle Building
Tough love is a very popular subgenre of the fitness movement these days, and Vince Delmonte definitely plays the role of the tough as nails tell it like it is fitness instructor perfectly. Vince makes it very clear that he doesn’t care about excuses, and he is not there to hold your hand through your personal problems. This state of your body is a direct result of the amount of effort you put into its maintenance, and if you’re not prepared to give 100% of the effort necessary Vince has little time for you.
The Vince takes no issues with the fact that genetics, and metabolism play a big part in the state of your body; however these are little more than obstacles to be overcome rather than permanent excuses that give you a crutch to hide behind. From day one while you’re on this program you will have one message pounded into your head; anything less than a fantastic physique is the result of laziness and ignorance on your part. It doesn’t matter your situation, your level of physical fitness or anything else; if you do not have a perfect body you are not putting in the effort necessary.
Frankly this approach does not work for everyone, however for most people this is a slap in the face that they need to get off their lazy butts and start taking fitness seriously. Vince is not a proponent of tough love out of malicious intent, but rather he is tired of people wasting their time on excuses and negativity. In Vince’s world excuses and negativity are wasted efforts, and frankly I agree with him. If more people spent their energy dedicating themselves to their goal of physical fitness rather than coming up with excuses and negativity a lot more people would be reaching their ultimate fitness goals.

Before, when I was taking massive amounts of supplements and blindly following what the magazines told me to do, I was an embarrassingly scrawny 149 pound twerp. |
After I discovered the truth I shot up to an impressive 190 pounds of rock-solid, ripped muscle mass in under 6 months…and became a national champion fitness model! |
Now I’m a solid 210 lbs and 10% body fat… and I’m going to show you how to build 10, 20, 30 and even 50 lbs of rock hard muscle (without getting fat in the process)! |
Fitness Based Bodybuilding
This all sounds great, but let’s take a moment to discuss what makes Vince’s program unique, and in fact one of my favorites. Unlike a lot of other programs Vince’s program focuses on gaining a fitness model physique rather than a bodybuilder physique. This is an important distinction for people who want to bulk up and look lean and muscular without going over the top and looking completely roided up. The program focuses on some less common exercises like endurance training, flexibility training and muscle balance. Now when I say less common it is not that these exercises are unpopular, it’s just that they are not common within the bodybuilding community.
After Vince has sufficiently broken you from your negativity and excuse prone ways, he begins to build you back up with his “9 growth principles” that are at the very core of all his work on methods. I’m not going to go out on a limb here and say that these principles are necessarily new or revolutionary, but they are oftentimes overlooked by people who are looking to build muscle fast while ignoring any of the key tenets of healthy and successful muscle building.
Important Principles
One of his most important principles is emphasizing the necessity for proper rest and recovery time between workouts. This is one of the most common beginners mistakes and it is nice to see that Vince takes time to correct peoples more is always better attitude.
The chapter on hormones is also a welcome addition to the program. This is a fairly adVinced topic so it is nice to see someone taking the time to explain it to people whose only experience with the subject comes in the form of manufacturers marketing departments.
Vince’s training program is fairly complex, and borderline complicated. It is much more faceted than the simple weight training routines you’ll find on the Internet and in magazines. Instead it focuses on principles like muscle confusion and periodization. You are not simply sent to the gym with the same list of things to do every workout, instead you are given a full routine that is properly cycled so that your muscles are never given the opportunity to become bored or acclimated to your routine. To make this process easier the program includes a 52 week workout plan that details what you should be doing on what days so you are not left spending all of your free time coming up with new exercise routines.
Commitment to Gaining Muscle
In terms of time commitment ,this program requires roughly 3 to four hours of intense gym time every week. From past experiences I can say that this is definitely the optimal amount of gym time so it is nice to see that Vince’s program follows this format.
Much of the program is focused on individualizing your workout to meet your specific needs. There are plenty of specialty workouts designed to target your weak spots, as well as flexibility training and provisions to minimize muscle imbalances. Additionally there are notes on cardio fitness where Vince tells the overly skinny to avoid cardio during the first month of training however at a later point cardio does play a big role in Vince’s fitness program. The inclusion of cardio is a welcome addition because too many muscle building programs completely ignore this absolutely essential exercise. Cardio may not lead to sexy muscle development, but it is important for overall health and long-term well-being.
Meal Plans and Diet Guidelines

Where nutrition is concerned Vince takes a two-pronged approach. He presents both prepared meal plans as well as diet guidelines for people who wish to create their own diets. I definitely appreciate the diet guidelines because I usually find myself completely unenthusiastic with the meal plans that oftentimes accompany these programs. Plenty of time is spent addressing the issue of calorie intake as well as whether or not supplements are just a waste of money.
Overall…
Overall Vince Delmonte’s No-Nonsense Muscle Building program has been one of my favorite programs to review. His unique no-nonsense approach really gets things going quickly, and his fitness based bodybuilding routines are definitely some of the most healthy I’ve seen. With emphasis placed not only on muscle building but also overall fitness Vince is truly ahead of the curve when it comes to the union of both a healthy lifestyle and major muscle gains.

“… I couldn’t believe that I started gaining results by training less than before.
I actually added over 16 inches to my entire frame and gained over 30 lbs of muscle mass.
I was happy with my progress after only a few months… but I had no idea that was only the beginning.
Thanks for the great program Vince.”

“I was disappointed with having the “skinny gene” but after buying your program I realized it does not matter what gene you have, it’s about commitment and having the right direction.
I am only 6 weeks into UDT so I can’t imagine the results when I complete the first 29 week program! I’m sticking to this and will keep you posted… thanks for the amazing program.

“…this before picture was taken was I was given 2 months to live after liver failure due to alcohol. At the time I weighed 76 kg and after coming across your website and starting your 29 week NNMB program I am now 98 kg!
Because of my low sodium diet I was unable to take in protein supplements because of the high sodium and was able to get these results with just the 29 week program and no supplements!”

There are very few programs I will endorse that have “muscle-building” in the title. Most of the stuff out there is pure crap - just the same old “secret this” and “Eastern Block that”.
None of it compares to the time-efficient and practical approach Vince reveals in his book, “No-Nonsense Muscle Building.”
Vince is not only a walking billboard for his techniques, but he is also able to convey his practical knowledge in a way that is easy to implement.
Bottom line: Vince makes building muscle as simple and efficient as possible for anyone at any age!

“I had been working out for a 12 month period prior to Vince’s program with very little results.
I thought I was working hard but I only put on about 1/4 inch to my bicep in a year… I had been usually a skeptic, but for some reason told myself this is possible and I can do this.
After just 12 weeks, I have put on 1 inch on my biceps, 2 inches on thighs, 2 inches on chest, 2.25 inches on shoulders, 0.75 inches on calves.
… I feel more confident and I’ve gone from 168 lbs, tried to bulk to 200 lbs and have slimmed down to 188 lbs - 20 lbs so far! Thank you so much, your program is awesome, I would highly recommend it to anyone.”

“What a difference a good coach makes!
I worked out on my own for a few years and made some gains, but the months I spent with Vince’s program made a big difference.
I would say when getting started or wanting to move to a new level, not having his program is not optional. Having an excellent coach like Vince is essential.”

“… I had trained for 15 years, at the beginning I had some changes, but after that, during 10 or more years, stayed with the same weight, same body fat, no changes,I didn’t know what else to do… Your training system was different and new, first I thought it was easy, but no way!
When I started the program my weight was 165 and my body fat was 23%, right now I’m 186 and my body fat is 13% !!! On average, all my strength exercises went up about 50%!
It’s a great pleasure to go to the gym and everybody stares at me, men and women, everybody ask me about the change in my body, I feel better, stronger and more confident!”

“Vince’s No-Nonsense Muscle Building program is not just another ebook that you buy, download and never finish reading.
Vince’s program has quickly become a best seller on IronMagazine.com and I personally recommend it to anyone that wants to gain muscle mass.
Don’t waste any more time making mistakes with your training, eating and supplementation, buy his program and save yourself years of trial and error.
And best of all if you need help Vince is just an email away from giving you personal answers and support!
I have been involved with bodybuilding and fitness for over 20 years, trust me you will not be disappointed with the No-Nonsense Muscle Building program.”
Dr Robert DiMaggio, CFT
“I’ve always been pretty skinny and I decided I was ready to get bigger. …I went from 145lbs - 155lbs in the last month …My body fat went from 14% to 11% to my surprise.
Just in the last 3-4 weeks I’ve made a lot of gains on my Squats, deads, stiff deads, bent rows, skull crushers, dips, pullups, and more.
I’ve become thicker all over and my shoulders that used to dip down between my neck and shoulder joint now slope appropriately. I have more confidence …I feel and look stronger ….
It keeps me motivated to continue working out and finish the program. It has alleviated some pain I was experiencing.
My friends have noticed and started working out with me. In fact, four of them are working out with me or under my (your) advice now and I have pointed them to your program.
I’ve read all the “Hard Gainer” plans out there… I’ve tried several and even paid for them. Vince’s plan takes all the good things from the other diet and exercise plans and puts them all in one nice organized place. A plan like this will bring gains on any body type.
…If you can’t gain with this plan …I question your work effort.”
Trenton Thomas Chance
Murray State University, Kentucky
“The Best Part Now Is When People Say, ‘Jay, You Used To Be A Stick. What the heck?! You’re Muscular Now!’”
“I was tired and sick of being called skinny, so I decided to take up weights and get a muscular body.
Not an easy task at all when the world looks at you and criticizes about your body (negatively).
When I started bodybuilding I knew nothing, literally, I would do the dumbest things, like train 3 times a day.
But it takes a lot of knowledge to get anywhere in bodybuilding and Vince has got a sh** load of info. I no longer shake when I train and can barbell shoulder press 140 lbs with strict form now.
Over the past year and a few months I’ve gained 45 lbs of lean muscle and I’m sure I’ll double it in years to come.”
Jason Long

“I started at 128 lbs when I was 15 and have gained 20 lbs …none of it fat. My most noticeable gains have been six-pack abs, some pec definition and overall strength gains.
I think I have something going for me because before I started I had a lack of self esteem, I was too small and skinny and I’ll admit that girls had a factor in starting …now I eat much healthier and have a high self-esteem!”
